EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
CLIENT RESOURCE CENTRE
Helpful information to guide your cabinetry journey
This Resource Centre has been created to guide you through our cabinetry process and help answer common questions along the way. From understanding what to expect at each stage, through to product selections and finishes, you’ll find clear and helpful information to support your project.
Our Process: What to Expect
Step 1: Getting Started
Sharing your vision
Every great project begins with information. We ask for as much detail as possible upfront, plans, inspiration images, measurements, and any must-have design ideas or functional needs.
- Understand the scope of your project
- Prepare for a productive consultation
- Identify any potential constraints early
- Ensure a smooth pathway from concept to installation
- Whether you’re renovating for the first time or you’re a seasoned builder, this early stage sets the tone for the project’s success.
Step 2: Showroom Consultation
MATERIALS, COLOURS AND FINISHES
For Retail Clients
You’ll meet with our design team to explore materials, finishes, layouts, and functionality. This is where we refine your ideas, provide guidance, and help shape a design direction that suits your lifestyle, your aesthetic, and your budget.
For Builders & Trade Partners
We work collaboratively with you and your clients.
Your expertise combined with our design and manufacturing knowledge allows us to streamline decisions, ensure accuracy, and keep the project aligned with site requirements and timelines.
Step 3: In-Home Measure
SITE ASSESSMENT
After the initial consultation, we visit your home or site to complete a full measure and assess any onsite considerations.
This gives our drafting team the accuracy they need to prepare detailed plans and ensures we’re designing cabinetry that fits perfectly—both practically and visually.
Step 4: Design Concepts
DRAFTING AND REVISIONS
Your project then moves to our in-house drafting team. This is one of the most comprehensive stages. We create precise drawings that outline:
- Layouts
- Dimensions
- Functional Elements
- Materials and Finishes
- Hardware and Accessories
- Construction Methods
- Space Constraints
Because this stage is collaborative, turnarounds can take time, often several weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and the number of revisions requested. Each change requires updates across multiple components, and accuracy here is crucial to ensure flawless manufacturing.
Step 5: Detailed Quote
GETTING IT IN WRITING
We provide quotes only once drafting is complete. Custom cabinetry pricing can vary significantly based on:
- Design Complexity
- Materials and Finishes
- Hardware and Accessories
- Construction Methods
- Space Constraints
Ball-park figures are rarely reliable, and we prefer to provide accurate, fully-informed pricing to avoid surprises later. Finalising drafting ensures the quote reflects your exact design and selections.
Step 6: Production
APPROVALS, SCHEDULING & PRODUCTION
Once drawings and pricing are approved, we schedule your project for production and installation. At this stage, all details are locked in, and our team moves your project through manufacturing with precision and care.
Why our process matters.
Custom cabinetry is an investment in both your home and your lifestyle. Our structured, collaborative process ensures:
- Thoughtful Design
- Accurate Planning
- Clear Expectations
- Quality Outcomes
Smooth communication between clients, builders, and our team. We believe in doing it once, and doing it properly.
Step 7: Installation & Completion
PRECISION INSTALLATION,
HANDOVER & AFTERCARE
With production complete, our installation team brings your project to life on site. Every element is installed with care and accuracy to ensure a seamless fit within your home. We coordinate closely with builders and trades to ensure timing, access, and final detailing align perfectly.
During installation, we:
- Carefully position and secure all cabinetry
- Align doors, drawers, and hardware for a flawless finish
- Complete final adjustments and detailing
- Conduct a thorough quality check
Once installation is complete, we walk you through your new cabinetry, ensuring you understand functionality, care, and maintenance. We stand behind our workmanship and believe the final stage is just as important as the first, delivering cabinetry that not only looks exceptional but performs beautifully for years to come.
Beyond Installation
Our relationship doesn’t end at handover. If you have any questions, we are here for you, because custom cabinetry is an investment designed to perform beautifully for years to come.
Timeframes and Planning
UNDERSTANDING TIMEFRAMES
As custom cabinetry is designed and built specifically for each project, timeframes can vary depending on complexity and selections. The design and drafting stage typically takes several weeks, allowing time for detailed planning, accurate drawings and client feedback.
Revisions and design changes are a normal part of the process; however, each round of changes may impact the overall timeline as drawings are reviewed and updated. Once the design is approved, the project is formally confirmed and the deposit received, cabinetry then moves into production, with lead times influenced by materials, finishes and hardware selections.
Installation is generally scheduled at the point of sale, prior to production commencing, and confirmed in line with anticipated manufacturing timelines and site readiness to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated installation.

Design Considerations and Helpful Tips
FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL
Thoughtful planning at the design stage helps ensure your cabinetry is both functional and aligned with your budget. Establishing clear priorities early, such as where to invest in statement finishes versus where to keep things simple, allows the design to work smarter without compromising overall impact.
Storage planning is equally important; considering how you use each space day to day helps determine the right mix of drawers, shelving and internal fittings to maximise usability. Balancing functionality with aesthetics is key, as the most successful designs seamlessly combine visual appeal with practical, long-term performance.
Factors that most influence cost typically include cabinetry layout and size, material and finish selections, internal hardware solutions, and the level of custom detailing required. Our role is to guide you through these decisions to achieve a well-considered outcome that suits both your lifestyle and investment.
